  3. Is there coffee brewing too?

I'm getting ready to make a rhubarb custard pie for Sunday dinner with friend. Your recipe has become a favorite with us, though it's slim pickins for rhubarb at present.

  8. Ellen, I do think that sometimes pies and other cookery can be considered "works of art." I do feel like an artist sometimes when I'm in the kitchen.

Thanks everyone for your *sweet* comments.

  9. P.S. My son took the pie pics. I guess he thought it looked nice enough to capture on the camera!

  10. Ah, now that's a texture that just begs you to stick your finger right into it. I can just taste it! Aren't you glad your son resisted the temptation and merely took pictures?

This really makes me want to get out my mixer!
